In the case of an emergency, please call 911 and/or go to the nearest emergency room for an evaluation.
How soon can I expect a reply from my phone call?
We strive to return all phone calls on the same day or next business day if the call is made after hours.
Do I have to take medications to see a psychiatrist?
No, not all my patients take medications. Some patients only engage in therapy with me. Some patients see me to taper off a medications. I work to listen to my patients and their goals for treatment.
If I start a medication, do I have to stay on it forever?
Each patient is different and has different needs when it comes to taking medications. Just because you start a medication DOES NOT mean you have to continue medications for the rest of your life. Treatment will include talking about different options, weighing the risks and benefits of continued medications.
